Why I Love Create & Cultivate, and You Should Too!

I fell in love with Create & Cultivate the moment I discovered them on Instagram. One look at their mantra – “a platform for women creating & cultivating the career of their dreams ” – and I was sold. When CEO Jaclyn Johnson released her book WorkParty last year, I connected even more with the platform. The story of her career climb is inspiring and her voice shines through when reading the book, like you’re talking to a trusted friend.

I enjoyed it so much that I jumped at the chance to attend her book tour when it came to Boston in October. Through her conversation with Lauryn Evarts of The Skinny Confidential, it became even clearer how much Jaclyn truly cares about lifting women up and encouraging their success. I was (and am still) hooked, so I immediately looked into more opportunities with Create & Cultivate.

On December 8, I had the pleasure of attending the Miami Vision Summit on behalf of my company, Youth Marketing Connection. It was an incredible experience jam-packed with an impressive speaker lineup and ample opportunity for networking with the over 700 attendees. The day was also full of Instagrammable moments and shopping from the 32+ brand sponsors.

As both a Marketing Program Manager and a blogger, it was a doubly influential experience. I was able to hear from women in the industries I’m passionate about and gather invaluable advice. Each brand activation also provided incredible inspiration for what I do on a regular basis through my job: brainstorm ideas for powerful branded events on college campuses. Check out a ton of photos from the event in the gallery here!

Overall, Create & Cultivate provided me with so many amazing opportunities in 2018 and I look forward to becoming even more involved in the community this year. Interested in joining the party and attending one of their events? The New York City conference is coming up on May 4, 2019. This conference already has an amazing set of speakers announced (hello, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley!!) and many more still to come. I unfortunately can’t make it to this one, but I’ll keep you updated on other events we can go to together!
