New(er) Beauty Products I’ve Been Loving Lately
Well, here we are with a featured post going up on a Saturday *insert exasperated emoji here*. This week has been SUPER busy. I’ve been helping out with the spring musical at my alma mater, styling wigs and doing makeup. While it’s been a fun experience, I’ve just not been able to be as on top of my posts as I’d like. Please excuse this total change in schedule. We’ll be back to normal next week with a yummy recipe on Tuesday and a date night on Friday!
When putting together my vanity tour a few weeks ago, I realized that I had a lot of newer products that I’ve been really loving and wanted to share them with you. From a new brand collaboration (Zoella x ColourPop) to fun mini versions of products I was excited to try, these items have quickly become go-tos in my collection. Before we go any further, I do want to say that I did not receive any of these products for free. I’ll always let you know when a post is sponsored. This was paid for with my own money, though I’d be beyond excited for the chance to work with any of these brands in the future!
Zoella x ColourPop Brunch Date Palette
This palette is SO pretty! For my first ever ColourPop purchase, I’m very pleased with the quality of the shadows. The pigmentation is great and there isn’t too much fallout, even with the shimmery shades. As an avid fan of brunch, I loved the concept of this collaboration. The packaging and shade names are right up my street. Such a fun palette for everyday and special occasion looks!
Zoella x ColourPop Give Us the Goss Lip Bundle
Another great offering from the collection is the lip bundles. Containing both a lip pencil and matte liquid lipstick, each bundle is the perfect combo for a stunning lip. I’m a big fan of statement reds, so I went with “Give Us the Goss,” which contains the Ultra Matte Lip shade “Self Love Club” and the “Bossy” Lippie Pencil. Both are so pretty and long-wearing!
Pat McGrath Labs LUST: Mini MatteTrance Lipstick Trio
These COLORS! This mini trio has become a total favorite of mine. It is one of the comfiest matte lipsticks I’ve ever worn. I also love the shades so much that I plan to purchase them in full size when I finish the minis! I went with the Colour Blitz pack, which contains elson (blue red), obsessed! (bright orange red), and full panic (bright fuschia). If you want to talk about incredible packaging, this lipsticks come in a bag filled with gold sequins and feature gold lips on the sleek black tube. So lush!
Laura Mercier Mini Caviar Stick Eye Shadows
While this mini set is no longer available, I highly recommend investing in the full-size of these eye shadow sticks. These are the only cream eye shadow sticks that don’t crease on my eyes. The color payoff is stunning and the metallic finish dazzles in the light. The set came with the shades Intense Moonlight, Intense Amethyst, Intense Copper, and Intense Rose Gold – all beautiful!
Revlon PhotoReady Candid Natural Finish Anti-Pollution Foundation
Living in a city with who-knows-what in the air, the anti-pollution, antioxidant, and anti-blue light ingredients in Revlon’s latest foundation appealed to me. The medium, buildable finish is great and it wears really nice. Would highly recommend this one, especially at the price. I wear the shade “Porcelain 110.”
itCosmetics Brow Power Universal Brow Pencil
This brow pencil used to be a staple in my routine, but I switched to a new brow product when I was sent something by Influenster. But I recently rediscovered it and am so happy with the way it makes my brows look. The “Universal Taupe” shade looks super natural, but gives my brows the definition they need.
Maybelline Snapscara Washable Mascara
I know I already talked about this in my mascara post, but Snapscara is just too good! I LOVE this formula and brush so much. It creates fluttery, defined lashes, but doesn’t cause itchy eyes and isn’t a pain to take off at night. No scrubbing required here!
Wet N’ Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit High-Shine Lipstick
As mentioned in my vanity tour, I have 7 shades of the original Liquid Catsuit lipstick. Their latest release is another winner. This version takes their incredible formula and adds high-shine for a killer lip. I have the shade “Chic Got Real” and it’s the perfect spring pink!
Fresh Mini Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment + INC.redible Jelly Shot
In the mood for some moisturizing lip options, I picked up Sephora’s Give Me Some Shine Lip Set to try. While not every product worked for me, the two that totally did were the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment and the INC.redible Jelly Shot in “Ex_Revenge.” Both are really great lip balms that I’ve started using the Fresh Lip Treatment on a daily basis prior to applying my regular lipstick. It has a great scene and is very moisturizing. The Jelly Shot is fun to wear on it’s own as a “lipstick” when I don’t want a bright pop of color. The tiny flower preserved inside is a beautiful surprise!
