5 Mascaras I Keep in Rotation
Everyone has their tried and true beauty products. When it comes to mascaras, I have five! After testing SO many over the years, I’ve found a few favorites that I keep handy in my makeup drawer. Each provides different benefits, and I’ve done my best to explain how they work on my lashes below. Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara in ‘Blackest Black’
This is my go-to mascara for thickness and volume. With its dual-sided brush, it’s easy to get the “full fan effect” advertised. I use the shorter bristled side to create thickness by wiggling it back and forth at the base of my lashes. Then I flip the wand and use the longer bristles to fan my lashes up and out for major length and volume.
Rimmel ScandalEyes Volume Flash Mascara in ‘Extreme Black’
Equipped with a big wand of fluffy bristles, this mascara is ideal for volume without the clumps. I enjoy using this one on its own or as a topper for other mascaras to make sure every lash is coated.
Benefit Roller Lash Super-Curling & Lifting Mascara in ‘Black’
Ever since I received the mini size in an event swag bag, I’ve been hooked on this mascara. Its effect on my lashes is exactly as described: “super-curling & lifting.” The skinny, curved wand is perfect for creating extra-long, clump-free lashes.
Maybelline Snapscara Washable Mascara in ‘Pitch Black’
This mascara is newer to my collection, but an instant favorite. I received a free sample of Maybelline’s latest launch and its “easy on, easy off” wax-free formula truly delivers. It creates long, defined lashes with zero clumps, and applies just as easily as it comes off. No harsh scrubbing to remove it at the end of the day!
Maybelline Great Lash Waterproof Hydrofuge Mascara in ‘Very Black’
Perfect for beach days, this waterproof mascara stays put. With a classic bristle brush that delivers just the right amount of definition to my lashes, it’s my go-to for fun in the sun and water!
